There is not the exact cause of migraines, but genetics play a role. When patients have a headache, specific nerves send pain signals to the brain. Since This releases inflammatory substances that starts migraine pain.

Sometimes trigger is responsible to start migraine pain. The common triggers are Stress, hormonal changes, certain medications, sleep pattern changes, changes in weather condition, extra physical activity, Missing a meal, Exposure to bright lights, loud noises or strong odors. Patients needs to identify the trigger to avoid headache.
